Happy New Year 2018 ~ My Chakra Layout

1) RED - Basis of this reading:  This card shows what currently sustains me, what I am sourcing from and what will require growth in order to sustain my intention.
I picked Forgiveness (Purple) - Rhonda Rhino from Amethyst:  Amethyst protects us from toxic situations.  This card indicates healing and allowing myself to return to the natural state of peace once again.  Remember, we never forgive others; we only forgive ourselves for loving others who betrayed us.  This is a time of personal evolution.

2) ORANGE - My emotional state:  This indicates my true feelings, as well as what may be attracting or repelling my desires.  It reveals my level of emotional discipline, my ability to sit with my feelings, and what is supporting or blocking me emotionally.
I picked Soulmate (Red) - Rose without Thorns:  This card indicates changing old communication patterns and being open to a new way of interacting.  I may no longer be able to have conversations that don't sustain my authenticity.  Freedom lies ahead - better than I can imagine.  To enjoy the beauty of a rose, we must risk being pricked by our inner thorns.  This offers a new way to live.  The best incentive to change is love.

3) YELLOW - What's on my mind?  This refers to my intellectual process.  Are my thoughts supportive or challenging?  It addresses ways to clear and sharpen focus and reveals hidden energy drains and the family habits that are blocking me.
I picked Completion (Orange) - Final Sunset:  Here is a warm and cheerful energy that brings calm to an ending, making it poignant, not sad.  Something is taking place outside my comfort zone, so step into the emotional grace of completion.  There is no drama here, only resolution.  This is a reminder to cherish all the beauty in my life, including endings.  Reflect upon my part in history and discover what I value most.  Do not fear completion, embrace it.  A new adventure; a new beginning is on the horizon.

4) GREEN - Is my heart in it?  This shows the path through the heart.  What is revealed here is pivotal to my journey.  The cards shows me the way to free myself from past emotional obligations.  Hidden agreements that have held me back will show up here.  I see what must be healed.
I picked Miracle (Yellow) - Sun Sparkler:  The brightest of all thoughts resides in sun yellow, as natural radiance stems from pure integrity.  Be honest and forthright no matter what.  With the energy of the sun, a miracle twats.  I instinctively know what is authentic: trust this.  Kindness exists to lend magic to integrity.  The essence of inspiration is integrity.  Can I be counted on?

5) BLUE - How I express myself.  This indicates my ability to communicate.  It reveals the barriers to clear communication, any gap between what I say I want and what I really want, as well as ways to shift my inner reality to affect my external reality.
I picked Wisdom (Green) - Sage:  This is the earth green, which brings wisdom, patience and acceptance.  Sage is perfect when I need to prove nothing, when I choose simply to be wise.  There is an ability here to bring serenity to any situation - and indeed it may be needed.  Am I trying to do things alone?  A solution may come from those more experienced than myself.  Stay in the present moment and do not let my thoughts jump ahead.  Wisdom is knowing the difference between a calculated risk and stupidity.

6) PURPLE - Sixth Sense.  This is my inner compass.  Here I will see how I am using my intuition.  Concealed family issues that hold me back may show up here, too.  This also refers to my intuitive gift and may reveal my purpose.
I picked Prayer (Yellow) - Cool Lemonade:  Inquiry and original thoughts are inspired by the angels in lemon yellow.  Cut through and face the truth - and surrender to a higher calling.  There is collaboration here and a willingness to changes one's mind.  Try letting go of control.  Cool Lemonade is a reminder that there is always a plan.  If I get sidetracked from my path, trust that I will be guided back to my true calling.

7) NEUTRAL - Trust Spirit.  This is the card of results.  It will reveal an outcome that depends on my ability to work through this card's three aspects:  The Darkness or subconscious, The Dawn or what is currently happening, and The Light or highest calling of this card.
I picked Passion (Orange) - Princess of Amber:  This card indicates creative focus and an ability to ignite the passion necessary to manifest what I desire.  The power of Amber is that focused emotion can create anything, for it brings the gift of emotional discipline.  I quietly sizzle and shine.  Follow my instincts, for I know intuitively what is right for me.

Om Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

This beautiful shanti mantra reminds us that we are not separate & independent beings.  With this sacred prayer, we wish:
"May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
And may my thoughts, words & actions contribute in some way to that."

Week 1 Day 4 ~ July 20, 2013

Do Life ~ two simple but wonderful words.

Today marks Week 1 Day 4 of this 10-week journey I'm embarking on to help me become more healthy.

It was alternating between 1 min of jogging with 90 sec walking for 25 min = 2 miles

I didn't get up at o'dark thirty but got dressed and headed out almost as soon as I got out of bed leaving no time to think about excuses.

My poor Kuzco just couldn't hang past the half-way point.  Well, he made it a little past half-way but by the last 4 rounds, I was dragging him during the runs.  Hopefully, he'll get used to it.

It was beautiful this morning ~ a little damp from a rainy evening with clouds still lingering yet the sun trying to burn off the clouds.  Temperature was just right but still got a good sweat on.

Focused on my breathing:
breath in 1-2-3
breath out 1-2

Nov 10 ~ Accessing the Energy Within

Love waking up to dog messes all over the living room floor ~ NOT!! Before coffee, the messes needed to be cleaned ~ yuck.  I can only guess which dog made the messes but not for sure, of course.  I was frustrated ~ sometimes it doesn't pay to be the first one awake.  No use whining about it ~ it is not going to get cleaned up on its own ~ just get it cleaned up and move forward.

Accessing the Energy Within:
A quietly engaged mind is the root of a joyful and energized spirit. Life’s unpredictability can exhaust us or it can invigorate us, depending on how we react to the stimuli in our environments. When you respond to the unexpected with serene curiosity and interested enthusiasm rather than anxiety and worry, you’ll empower yourself to face challenges without becoming fatigued. Surprises and setbacks will become opportunities to utilize your innovative mind and your intellectual potential. As you employ the blessings the universe has given you to address your changing situation, a wellspring of energy will surge forth within you, giving you physical strength and fortifying your soul. Your energy will flourish today when you are fully engaged in making a positive impact on the problems plaguing your personal and professional projects.

Nov 5 ~ Balancing Give & Take

Daylight Savings started ~ I like the extra hour but it plays havoc on my routine.  The Broncos had an early game and they won.  We roasted a chicken with all the trimmings ~ just like Thanksgiving ~ one of Heather's favorite meals so she stopped by to visit (plus do laundry).  Although, this may end soon because she is moving to a new apartment with one of her friends (breaking up with Alex) and it happens to have a washer & dryer in the apartment.  She claims she will still visit but now I'll have to come up with reasons for her to like cooking some awesome dinner or something.

Why Balance Give & Take:
By balancing the flow of giving and receiving in our relationships with others, we align ourselves with the natural universal rhythm of abundance and generosity. Aligning with this natural balance automatically helps us create a greater sense of balance in our lives. Rather than feeling guilty about what we receive, or resentful about what we give to others, we are able to embrace both phases with gratitude and joy, and create an ease of flow that brings harmonious balance to our relationships and our lives. As you embrace the flow of giving and receiving in your relationships today, you can bring forth a welcome sense of harmony and peacefulness to enhance your interactions with others.

Nov 3 ~ Hospitality for the Self

Yesterday I called in a "well" day ~ it was not planned because I got up at O'dark thirty to prepare for a day of work but at 6:30 when I am supposed to be heading out the door, I decided to call in. I am happy that I did ~ it was not going to be a busy day at work for me so I didn't feel guilty about not showing up for work.
My husband and I went to eat breakfast at one of our favorite places ~ went Lowe's for a bit then home and I started painting my room upstairs while hubby worked on a project of his own in the garage. We braked for lunch at one of our favorite Chinese buffet places ~ toodled around Target afterwards ~ still too early to start our Friday Night date night of pool shooting so we went home for a bit. I finished a little more painting of my room ~ need to get that futon bed out, tho ~ it will be our Saturday (today) project. Went to our usual hangout but all the pool tables were being used so we went to the Darkside ~ we enjoyed our evening even tho Geo won our pool game series and it was just us two playing pool ~ their pool tables are awesome!!

Today's Lesson: Treating myself with respect and nurturing attention can contribute to a rested mind and balanced body. While most of us would go to great lengths to be gracious to our loved ones, we often forget that we deserve the same level of care and attention. By choosing to treat myself as well as I would treat my friends, I invest in a healthier and happier self. Not only does this make me feel more balanced in my life but it also results in a rested mind and energetic body that can help me care for those I love.
